We are living in a very challenging time with COVID-19, the uncertainties about further lockdowns, travel restrictions and everywhere you look it seems like doom and gloom. Even with all of this there are still businesses that are operating and you will still have customers out there who are all feeling the same way.

Just because customers may not have the capital to spend at the minute as everyone everywhere is having to look at costs does not mean that we do not still engage as much as we can.

I have been involved in commercial roles through the 2008 credit crunch, oil and gas slump of 2015 and then this but throughout all of the challenges these faced, I/we still kept most if not all of our customers and this was just down to caring about their business.

Now may not be a time to sell, but its a time to care and people in organisations remember those who didn't give up on them when the times where hard. Engage with your customers, understand their challenges, care about their outcomes and when the world gets back to some kind of normal this will show when budgets become available.
